No credit history is a different starting point.
If you haven’t financed a car or used much credit, your file may look different from someone with an established payment history. Lenders have different requirements for first-time buyers. Being new to credit is not an automatic approval or denial from this website.
Our team can talk through your situation, explain the process and outline what a lender may need. You can begin without knowing every financing term or choosing your exact vehicle.
Build your budget before your wish list.
The price of owning a car includes more than the payment. Leave room for insurance, maintenance, fuel or charging, and unexpected costs. Get an insurance estimate for the type of vehicle you want before finalizing your budget.
Use the estimator to see how different prices, down payments, APRs and terms affect an example payment. It’s a planning tool, not an offer. Ask about both the monthly payment and total cost before choosing any financing.
Bring your questions. All of them.
Ask who the lender is, what the APR means, how many payments are required, and what the total amount of those payments will be. Ask for an itemized out-the-door price so you understand the vehicle cost separately from the cost of borrowing.
If a co-applicant or co-signer is discussed, have the lender explain that person’s obligations before anyone signs. Do not assume another person’s involvement guarantees approval. You should understand the commitment, not just the next step.
Explore cars at your pace.
Browse real inventory by make, condition, location and price. If something catches your eye, carry it into your financing inquiry so the team knows which vehicle you mean. Availability and final pricing should be confirmed directly.
Our website form does not request an SSN or pull your credit. It starts a conversation. Any complete lender application and credit authorization happen separately, with the requirements explained to you.
First-time buyer eligibility, documents, down payments and available financing vary by lender. Our inquiry is not a credit approval or commitment to lend.
